As anyone who knows me KNOWS... I love to take pictures. All the time, everywhere I am, and of everyone and everything I see. I also have a great appreciation for others who take a great shot. It's just fun for me.
It all started back in 1984 when I took photography classes at Central High School with a fully manual Nikon camera that was so hard to use - thank you Mrs. Sullivan for your patience while you taught me and my class mates the basics and created a large group of photo obsessed individuals.
Since then, it has been a passion for me and I have continued when I received a fancy Canon Rebel camera as a gift. Several years after I got the basic Canon, took lots of pictures with it and played with all the buttons.. I bought myself a zoom lens for it. That one WalMart lens created a zooming obsession that opened my eyes to this new world of close ups that make me look everywhere for the next one I can capture! It always amazes me to see something in the distance, then zoom in. Its crazy the detail you see there! I find that most times I find myself saying WOW.. and my shutter finger goes crazy! A note to the novist: take ALOT of pictures! The perfect shot will be there, you just have to scan through them after and you will be amazed what you have captured.
Now a few years back, I got my first iphone. Hello.. have you tried the PANO feature? I had photoshop on my computer, but the iphone editing is crazy good. You can do anything with that little phone, except night shots and zooming - those never seem to come out good for me. That is a work in progress...
So this is a place, on my business webpage, that I am going to catalog my favorite shots. ENJOY !!
Dog lover... it is no surprise I take a lot of dog pictures!!
Bird feeders and flower gardens create the perfect venue for a great shot - with a zoom lens of course. Its very hard to get great detail without one and my trusty iphone just wouldnt do for shots like these!
I have ducks and chickens and I love to photograph them, they are silly and entertaining and I am never disappointed when I am reviewing the hundreds of pictures I take of them. They are just funny.
I am amazed and facinated by the PANO feature on my trusty iphone 5S. I pano everything I possibly can - where else can you get pictures like these!
The iphone 5S may not take a great night shot, but it sure takes a great sunset - water
My family and I are boaters. We are among the adventurous ocean lovers that enjoy a bumpy ride across the Atlantic. We spend alot of time out there... fishing, exploring and enjoying it. The Isles of Shoales is a place we frequent and lots of fun animals live there.
During a boat trip to Provincetown, MA in 2014, we experienced many whales and this one was right off the stern of our boat. REAL close him.. what a great experience that was!
Some pictures are just... special.
